Watch your angles. The more angles you know, the more likely it is that you can locate an enemy player before they can take you out. Learning the angles and call-outs on each map is half of the learning curve of CS:GO. Choose one map (Dust II is a good choice) to get familiar with, and you’ll improve your mechanics much faster.
