I repeat, do not discard the Dwarf Scrolls. Donating them to the museum allows you to buy some very useful items from the dwarf that lives just to the right of the screen when you enter the mine, and while they’re not exactly rare drops, they are very annoying to farm. Do not make the same mistake I did. Donate the Dwarf Scrolls.
