Despite it technically being called a "dodge roll", it can actually be viable to dodge into your enemies. For mobile enemies like caterpillars, bats, and small cultists, it's easier to kill them when you dodge into them then attack, limiting their movement. Touching an enemy that isn't performing an attack doesn't hurt you, so you don't need to worry about needless DMG.
