While the Koi Fish can be attacked for the scales it drops, it is extremely powerful to the point of one-hit KO’ing tadpoles and cannot be killed itself. It is blind in one eye, though, so if you really feel like pressing your luck, you can always stay on its left side or distract it with bait.
