Although your maximum party can cap out at six slots, there is a seventh slot open to story-centric bonus characters, referred to as Heroes. Heroes are both a useful bonus during combat that, when used proportionally with other characters, can create a major advantage. Make sure to use the new abilities available- some of them are exclusive to those characters!
