According to the in-game description, the Reconstructor is "a xeno-tech device for accurate reconstruction of complex entities per environment." Essentially, it gives you a second life. These are usually situated near a boss and cost 6 Ether for a single revive. If you die, you will be revived at the Reconstructor with full health and whatever Consumables you had equipped. Parasites are removed.
