When falling off a ledge or high ground, there is a special area of attack ability you can perform with your blade/weapon. Simply press the Attack button as you're falling and you will automatically jump and slam the ground with your weapon. This allows you to open and unlock circular lids with a keyhole on them them as well as attack enemies from higher ground.
