Focus on unlocking a safe zone whenever you come across one. The reason why is travelling from point A to B for a quest can be a lengthy distance, and if it becomes night, you are at higher risk of dying. By having a bunch of safe houses unlocked throughout the map, you will always have somewhere close by to retreat and sleep to let the night pass by.
