Progressing through the main story, you will become aligned with certain factions. Make sure to increase all factions to revered status to gain more blueprints, weapons, armor, greater discounts, and quests. Becoming hated with enemy factions will spawn more hero monster mobs. These mobs are harder but drop rarer gear.
