The Repulsor is straightforward once you learn what it's for. Enemies with blades and hammers will make a B-line for your guts. Use the repulsor to push them back to set up a counterattack. However, you can also use this defensive equipment as a movement option. If you want to get up to a level that's too high for you to jump or mantle to, point your repulsor to the ground to create a double jump.
