Even though you might love killing all the zombies in Dying Light 2, it doesn’t mean you should keep killing them until you’re out of weapons. Hence, you should probably get rid of zombies smartly. For example, killing the ones that are necessary for you to proceed and then moving on to your next mission. That’s how you’ll actually survive.
