Rift Herald can act as a distraction for other objectives. For example, if there’s a particular Dragon up and you want the Dragon’s Team Buff more than a tower, drop the Herald in a lane (best done at mid) and then immediately turn your attention to defeating the Dragon. More than likely, the enemy team will have to respond to the Herald in order to ensure they don’t lose Mid tower.
