Although it may be tempting to destroy all the Crystallized Ether you come across, it's actually a waste of time. Keep an eye on your SP, a lot of the time you may find it to be maxed out. So gaining extra Ether becomes pointless. Your time will be better spent exploring. But if you find it fun to wreck havoc and see the pretty graphics then by all means, enjoy yourself.
