When faced with a group of enemies or one of the stronger variety, sometimes you might panic and make a bad move. Consider slowing down the battle by pulling up the Attack Wheel (R1/RB on XBOX). Not only does this slow down the enemy, you can make more sound decisions and choose how to attack. Keep in mind enemies can still move towards you but they're delayed significantly.
