Even if you’ve played Final Fantasy games before, you aren’t going to be privy to all the various new and upgraded mechanics in this game. If you spend your first hour in the game's tutorial section, you will learn things you would miss if you jumped right into the main game. Save yourself the headache, and do the tutorials.
