If a teammate is in trouble with many enemies, Super jump to them and use splash down at the same time by pressing the right stick while jumping. It leaves enemies helpless and will most likely splat them. When spotting a super jump splash down, look at the top of the interface and check the specials. If the jump mark is in and odd place with a splashdown special on the other team, back away.
