Tag in your assist player to mix your wake-up.
Here is yet another reason the attacking opponent is at a disadvantage when a player gets knocked down. While you are in a hard knock-down state (meaning you can't move, roll, or do pretty much anything), you can tag in your assist player if you have meter. Essentially you can cancel your down-state by switching players. This will throw off your enemy as you can do this at any point you are down.
