According to my experience with this game, Fire, Ice, Bleeding, and Slow abilities are the Trump Card for you. Using the Freeze ability, you can slow down your enemies and inflict damage on them. Similarly, no opponent can counter the Slowdown ability. The Bleeding and Fire abilities cause damage to the enemy for a short period.
