Similar to FromSoftware games, Shovel Knight Dig loves to punish its players for making mistakes. Shovel knight cuts players some slack by letting them have most of their gems. They also have a chance to get gems back as they fly around the dungeon in bags. Besides that, everything else resets upon death including relics and accessories.
