Using Nitrous is the most obvious way to gain an edge on your opponents. You'll want to store and use it for moments when you're behind in a race or if there's a long stretch of road with less turns. You generate it naturally from long drifts but it's also worth charging it by drifting short turns and corners. Just release the gas, press and hold it again while turning to charge Nitrous.
