Frey’s magic is essentially more range-based. It’s good for flying and mobile enemies that are tough to fight up close. Sila’s magic is more melee-based. This is good for ground and land-based enemies that attack close. You’re most likely going to find enemy vulnerabilities using the criteria above so make sure to swap magic types when fighting certain enemies.
