There is an exploration ability called Demolish which becomes unlocked when changing jobs to Foreman as Kasuga. Throughout the city you'll find barricades, some noticeable ones in dungeons. They will appear as shiny spots on walls which you can destroy to uncover hidden areas. Note: Once you unlock Demolish, you can switch back to any job and retain the ability.
