Each of the optional bosses have a special gimmick associated with them. During each battle, it is important to learn, memorize, and counter each battle’s unique abilities. For instance, Marluxia’s battle adds a hit counter, forcing players to focus mostly on defence and agility as opposed to forceful attacks.
