If you chain together a combo and are vulnerable to an enemy attack, you can cancel the combo sequence by using Burst Counter. Simply Burst Counter during a combo to stop further attacks from executing. Make sure you have enough Anima to do so. Using the Feral Yokai's Burst Counter is the most effective because it immediately dodges.
