Though the developers of Disgaea 6 don’t tell you this in Disgaea 6 you gain special benefits by playing special classes that outshine other classes if played together. You can gain incredible defense with the pincer class, the undead have more survivability, the psychic class has the most attack based on its range, and more. It's best to find a special class as early as you can.
