Sometimes, when you’re interacting with the overworld, the hitboxes for pokemon can be a little awkward. So if you’re trying to battle a pokemon, be sure you’re throwing your own pokemon directly at the pokemon you’re targeting. This ensures your pokemon is sent out to initiate a battle.
