When purchasing new equipment, you can see how the item you’re purchasing compares to what you currently have equipped. On the purchase screen, look at the party member icons on the bottom right. If the equipment you want to purchase is worse than what you already have, a red down arrow will blink. If it is better, a blue up arrow will blink next to the party member’s picture.
