If you're surrounded by a large group of enemies or enter a survival chamber with a countdown, consider defeating the mobs that are easiest to kill or most distracting. Enemies that die in a few hits or have a single health bar are easier to wipe out. Leave tougher foes last so you can focus your attacks and damage on them (they usually move slower).
