When using Magic Attacks, the MP bar indicates how many charges it takes to reach full power. Pay attention to the outlined rectangles. Once these are filled purple, you have stored maximum charges. Release the Magic button to unleash a full power attack or store less charges for quicker attacks. Magic Attacks that don't show rectangles stop filling purple at maximum power.
