Do not go into a new area unprepared! Before entering, take a look at the level requirement located next to the area name (see image). Danger Level gives you an idea what level the enemies should be around. Make sure that your party is generally around the same level or you might be asking for an early death. It's possible to take on higher level enemies with the right skills and equipment.
