You can rewind each mission to the previous phase in order to replay current sections and improve your run. This will be used constantly in the late game, as missions become incredibly difficult and a mistake in phase 1 can have a terrible knock on effect and hurt you in phase 3. This is also a great way to play around with tactics and experiment for the best results.
