Turning off the racing trail does a couple of things. It drastically increases the credits multiplier whether you turn it off partially or fully. Don't do it fully since it's incredibly tough hitting turns in this game without at least the brakes trail. Turning it off also gives you a more pleasing view of the road, which is great for creators and streamers.
