Turning off ABS adds about 20% to the credits multiplier. It's highly recommended to do so as soon as possible so you can rack up money quickly. However, it's difficult at first. The triggers don't have to be fully pressed to brake successfully. This is crucial when ABS is off because you won't be able to steer when you slam on the brakes. Try gently squeeze the triggers when attempting to stop.
