When you unlock a character, their weapon becomes part of the pool of weapons you can acquire by leveling up. These weapons can also appear when you open up treasure chests. It’s a good idea to unlock as many characters early on as possible. You’ll also get various stat perks that can benefit you on your runs and once you find an enemy that vibes with your playstyle, you can build around it.
