In Mass Effect 1, if you bring up your Talents ring and select one of your own Talents, you may notice there is a "Map" option. By mapping a Talent, you are able to activate that talent quickly during combat by pressing, not holding the Talents button once (in this case, the RB button on an Xbox controller). This is a fast way to set your favorite Talent and use it without opening the menu.
