Don't forget to set the Arte Settings for every character that you have. From the Menu, go to Artes, and tab to the Arte Settings where you can assign Artes for each character according to the button scheme of the platform you're playing on. By setting their Artes, you'll have new attacks, spells, and healing skills available, especially when controlling a character manually.
