If you come across damaged walls with dents and glowing red lights, these are destructible (see image for an example). Simply shoot these walls to break them open. Behind these walls are hidden rooms that contain valuable items such as Datacubes and consumables. Keep an eye out for these, they blend in with the environment well so scan for the glowing parts as you travel around.
