If you find yourself in surrounded by a mob of enemies, focus on killing enemies with range first. This includes mages, archers, and any enemy with projectile weapons. They're also quicker to kill. By removing the ranged enemies, you won't have to worry about dodging projectiles and taking off-screen damage.
