There are a few ways you can reduce the damage you take when using a melee character. If using a controller, use the Right-Stick to attack. 1. Attack while moving the opposite direction (pull away) of your enemies. 2. Position yourself against walls, objects, and structures so that one side of your body is protected. 3. When surrounded, evade, run away, then face your enemies while attacking.
