If your view is obstructed, you can still see enemies through walls and objects. Notice the orange-red ring that appears when enemies are outside of your visibility range. You can use this strategically for cover and decide which enemies to take on. This is especially useful when you're surrounded by enemies that can fly or have homing attacks.
