With two guns at your disposal, shooting in the center is not efficient. To better deal with mobs of llamas, especially when they're spread out, strafe (move your mech side to side) while aiming. Aim and move your guns slightly left and right (less than 45˚). You'll cover more area and will hit more often than aiming straight.
