Tunic's colorful aesthetic and bouncy green tunic-wearing main character may resemble Toon Link from Zelda. But don't be fooled. The combat in Tunic resembles Dark Souls and Elden Ring much more than new players think. It's certainly not as tricky as you can manipulate enemy attacks more than in Souls games. However, the "lock-on, hold shield, and roll" combat system is almost identical.
