It's common to see a chest and have no clue how to get to it. This is by design. Sometimes you will have to climb a whole building just to get the chest at the starting area by jumping off the building. It really helps everything if you explore the map as much as possible so you can formulate how to reach chest, new areas, or anything really. So check the minimap often and explore the unexplored!
