If you’ve forgotten where to go or lost track of your objective, use your menu and above the map is the current story objective. This will provide the clue as to what to do next. Additionally, if you’ve unlocked Warp, go to the warp screen and the area that contains your next objective will be revealed with a red diamond. Go to that specific area to move the story along.
