There are four rings to swim through. Two of them have panels where the current must be reversed. Reverse the currents (move triangle button to top). Go to the top platform with the rectangular statue. Press the button on the top left. Go through the top ring, swim through the other 3, and go through the doorway. The secret object is also in this area. Might want to find that first.
