If you start a character in Online mode (Non-Ladder), you get Shared Storage between all of your Online characters. From your Private Stash you can access additional Shared tabs that have the same amount of Inventory slots as your Personal stash. This also means you can share items across all of your Online characters, essentially giving you 3 Stashes for your excess items and gear.
