Even though you have full health, leave some extra potions around for when you take damage or before and after fighting a boss. Items do not disappear, so you can actually Fast Travel back the area where you left them. Consider only recycling potions after clearing out all the areas. If you end up not taking damage then you can gain extra Sand for use at the shop.
