Major clues about game mechanics are in the collectible art
Video-game collectibles are mostly reserved for the 100-percenters to snag throughout their playthrough. Generally, they're trophies or gallery unlocks that don't add value to the gameplay. That is NOT the case with Tunic since the collectible art gives VALUABLE info about gameplay mechanics that the game doesn't tell you. Something as simple as sprinting is on one of those collectibles.
