If you find yourself in a situation where you’re about to die or don’t have any energy left to deploy your gear, just escape from the scene. The game doesn’t penalize you for not killing everything on the screen. Even in main missions you’re able to access the next waypoint and exit. Sometimes enemies might even stop following you. Do this to avoid restarting from a checkpoint.
