Side quests are a backbone of this genre, and this game is no exception. In order to get more loot, xp, and battle encounters, you can go to Karacucho and go to club cretaceous and you will find requests from all sorts of people. Doing these aren't necessary but you might want something like this to help you level up or obtain certain items.
